Is this ATS resume checker free?

Yes, completely, with no sign-up. Every check runs in your browser, so there is no account to create and no upload limit to hit.

Do you store or see my resume?

No. The analysis runs entirely in your own browser using JavaScript. Your resume text is never sent to our servers, never stored, and never seen by anyone. Closing the tab discards it.

Why does it ask me to paste text instead of uploading a file?

You can upload a PDF or TXT now — text is extracted in your browser. Pasting still works, and remains a useful test: if you cannot select text in your PDF, a real ATS may get nothing from an image-only scan.

Why is there no ATS score out of 100?

Because no such standard exists. Applicant tracking systems do not publish a scoring method, and any number a tool shows you is invented. Each check here tells you what it found and why it matters, so you can judge whether it applies.

Can this tool detect a two-column layout or a table?

No. It reads plain text, so layout information is already gone by the time it sees your resume. Columns, tables, and text boxes are real parsing hazards, but you need to check those in the original document.

Does passing every check mean I will get an interview?

No. These checks cover the mechanical failures that stop a resume being read or found. Whether your experience fits the role, and how well you have described it, is what actually decides the outcome.
