Delhi Technological University (DTU, formerly Delhi College of Engineering / DCE) notified Percentage of Marks = (10 × CGPA) − 7.5 on 30-11-2015. That is the same arithmetic as (CGPA − 0.75) × 10: 6.25 CGPA is 55%, 8.25 is 75%. It is not CGPA × 10. The notice’s subject line mentions M.Tech/MBA/EMBA/Ph.D; the text says “for all programme”. Why × 10 websites are wrong for this notice
At 8.25 CGPA, DTU’s table is 75%. CGPA × 10 would be 82.50%. The 7.5 offset is 7.5 percentage points at every value. If a portal already used × 10 for your DTU CGPA, it did not follow this notification.
The same notice says that for percentage of marks above 92.5, CGPA 10 is to be given. That is a reverse-direction cap, not a reason to multiply CGPA by 10 when converting to percentage.
