Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad CGPA to Percentage
JNTUH’s B.Tech R22 Academic Regulations, Clause 11.2, give the percentage equivalent of the final CGPA as (CGPA − 0.5) × 10. The regulation says this formula “may be used”. This page follows R22 only. Older JNTUH regulations are not mixed in.

Note. The regulation says this formula “may be used” for the percentage equivalent of the final CGPA. It is not a blanket conversion for every older JNTUH regulation (R18, R16, and others).
R22 is not the same as R18
The offset here is 0.5, not 0.75. A CGPA of 8.00 under R22 becomes 75.00%, not 72.50%. Websites that reuse a VTU or AKTU formula for JNTUH will understate the R22 figure by 2.5 percentage points.
Clause 11.2 is written as a permitted equivalent of the final CGPA. If a recruiter or university insists on a signed conversion, get the college letter rather than quoting a calculator.
Final CGPA versus SGPA
The clause refers to the percentage equivalent of the final CGPA. Do not run a single semester SGPA through the same formula unless your college says that is how they issue a particular letter. For job forms that ask “aggregate %”, use the final CGPA from the consolidated marks memo when R22 applies.
