Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada CGPA to Percentage
JNTUK B.Tech Academic Regulations R19 and R20 both set equivalent percentage as (CGPA − 0.75) × 10. An 8.00 CGPA is 72.50%. R20 states this conversion as per AICTE regulations. This is the Kakinada university, not JNTUH Hyderabad (R22 uses a 0.5 offset).

R19 and R20 match; Hyderabad does not
At 8.00 CGPA, JNTUK R19/R20 give 72.50%. JNTUH R22 gives 75.00%. Mixing the two sister universities is a common error on Andhra–Telangana job forms. Read the university name on your hall ticket.
The R19 PDF rounds SGPA and CGPA to two decimal points in transcripts, then applies Equivalent Percentage = (CGPA − 0.75) × 10. Use the CGPA printed there, not a hand-averaged SGPA, unless the college letter says so.

Ask your affiliated college exam cell for a conversion letter citing R19 or R20. Carry the regulation printed on your syllabus. JNTUK and JNTUH are different universities.
