RGPV B.E. Ordinance 04(A) (candidates admitted from July 2010) converts grade to percentage in clause 7.2 as CGPA obtained × 10. An 8.00 CGPA is 80.00%. That is not the VTU-style (CGPA − 0.75) × 10 formula. This page follows Ordinance 04(A) and notes that later B.Tech NEP text uses the same × 10 multiplier.

Note. Ordinance 30 (credit-based grading) converts grade to percentage as (CGPA obtained ÷ maximum CGPA) × 100. On a 10-point scale that is also × 10. NEP Ordinance 04(D) for B.Tech likewise uses obtained × 10. Confirm which ordinance is printed on your scheme before using a job form.
What the grade sheet should already show
Clause 5.8 of Ordinance 04(A) says the final examination grade sheet indicates CGPA, equivalent percentage marks, and the division awarded. If your sheet already prints a percentage, use that figure. This calculator is for when a form asks you to restate CGPA as % using the ordinance.
Division in the same ordinance family is typically first with distinction at a high CGPA band, then first, then second. Do not copy SPPU or GTU class tables onto an RGPV form.
Ordinance 30 versus 04(A)
Ordinance 30 writes percentage = (CGPA ÷ maximum CGPA) × 100. For the 10-point scale used in these B.E. programmes, maximum CGPA is 10, so the arithmetic matches × 10. If your programme used a different maximum, do not force × 10 — read that ordinance.

The final RGPV grade sheet is meant to show CGPA, equivalent percentage, and division. If a recruiter wants a separate letter, apply through the college exam cell or RGPV’s student services — do not invent a different multiplier.
